The recommended image size is 1080px by 700px - width/height.

You're very welcome to use images that are larger than noted above, as WP will crop & re-size the images to fit their respective containers nicely.

Please note that using very large images where it is not necessary can affect your site's loading speed and may even cause image uploading errors.
